Managed to resolve this with a bit of luck. I don't think there's a unique solution though, because bullfinch and woodpigeon are both also birds

pig doesn't fit the description of male names, bull is not a species of mammal, I did double check the grid! Thanks for feedback though :)

You can get four points by just saying birds in each solution.

yes Q- I was anticipating complaints as they are technically part of the link. You still need to know why they're linked to get the groups, but I'm not fussy about wording to be honest, points galore if you can spot what's going on! ;)
