Jerry rigging:
Jerry rigging is both a noun and a verb describing makeshift repairs made with only the tools and materials at hand. Its origin lies in such efforts done on boats and ships, characteristically sail powered to begin with.
But let's just say...I'm jelly rigged ;')

It's a conflation of two expressions. There's jury-rigged, as discussed, but there's also Jerry-built, which is a World War II term meaning shoddily constructed (even though the Germans in fact made a lot of really good military equipment).
