Would be a nice grid if it weren't for the fact that 'B', 'Y' and 'U' are all both chemical elements represented by a single character AND homophones for words - meaning that there are actually three possible correct solutions! :-)

Liked it - it did say the elements were non-metals (U and Y are metals) - but could still be better refined.

Problem with this is that, while clever when you know the answer, there's nothing you can latch on to at the outset to get you there.

Tough grid which required a fair few stabs before hitting a known connection. Frequent flyers on this would have guessed the group at the start but 'struggled' to hit a correct one with so many options and cross-overs. Enjoyed the challenge even though I didn't get top marks :-)
