Grids where everything essentially fits in the same category are frankly very frustrating. There must be at least 20 legitimate ways of dividing up 16 musicals into 4 groups, making the "correct" answer entirely arbitrary.

Also, that's a definition of "opera" I have never heard before. That's what I would call a "sung-though musical", while an opera is a separate genre, which is usually (but not always) sung-through.

@Ben I'm sorry you didn't enjoy my grid, but isn't that the idea of red herrings? I'd be interested to see the 20 legitimate ways of dividing them up, that is contrary to the normal types of grids we got on this site. Also, an opera is a stage musical or play in which ALL dialogue is sung i.e. no spoken dialogue, so Hamilton is a modern-day opera.

Kind of ok, but a little samey and the groups don't all work. The operas group is spurious - Hamilton's full title is 'Hamilton an American Musical', and your definition of Opera is musical is simply wrong, or are you saying that Die Zauberflote and Carmen aren't opera? And as that group is undeniably invalid, it undermines the fairly adequate remainder of the grid. Actually, I'm getting less enthusiastic about thus wall the more I think about it, and your reply reiterating your incorrect assertion doesn't make it any less inaccurate.

Three really good groups (though I thought West Side Story was a Bernstein musical, which Sondheim helped out on, rather than being a Sondheim show), but the wall was invalidated by one group that's a nonsense. Operas don't have to be sung through, without spoken words, and being through composed, without dialogue doesn't make something opera.

Sorry to upset all the opera aficionados and spoiling all of your fun. I have edited the grid now so as to not upset anyone else who attempts to have some fun with this grid.
