I think I must politely disagree with yourself and Obscurious and that she was indeed a celebrity in her lifetime, a state she did not particularly like. I think that the more modern "celebrity" status has diluted that term to almost meaningless in the sense of achievement. IMO no offense meant

@stj & Aetees. I would have no quibble with the term had they all been famous people from history or more modern people famous for doing something serious. She just seemed out of place in that company who clearly fit the 'modern' definition.
