My kind of grid, Lorna. Single words. No faff. :-)
Works well as it is - I'd probably swap out Prerogative for Day as I think it fits better in that group but it's marginal.
Well played Ms.

I looked at day but was interchangeable with gent's so rejected it, as I already had a crossover, couldn't afford another one. Would have been nice with night, though. Maybe should have kept day and lost toilet, but wasn't thinking! Glad you liked.

Ah. I've never heard of Gentlemen's Day as a phrase. So that would have left you with a non-unique. As you were, Soldier.

I agree it would have been better than toilet! Hard to concentrate when my kids are trying to get downstairs without using the stairs ie via a hole in the ceiling- at least that's what it sounds like! I hadn't heard of gent's day either- was disappointed to find it- it's a horse- racey thing, I think.

Great grid! Would possibly add 'Gentlemen's' as a trigger, as stands to reason it can apply in all those cases (and does so more frequently in some).

By trigger do you mean a clue- or an accepted term? It was the accepted term for that group- I hope it worked? :)

lorna
Apologies Jayme- I just tested it and gentlemen's doesn't work, you're right. It was intended to, as well as a tonne of spelling variances, I must have missed something when I typed. Sorry about that

...and along comes your Yankee friend to say she's never heard of this relish. Still, lovely grid.

Excellent grid.

Goneril, I can highly recommend Patum Peperium on hot buttered toast!

And if you like Billy Connolly there's a film of the same name and an alternative meaning! :)
