Doubles do not work - simple - because you can't profess which 'version' of a particular double is right or wrong.

They work in this case because each of the pairs fall in the same group. Knowing that the author knows this just makes solving the grid easier. It's a fun twist.

Thought the duplicates were easy to work out. However, I couldnt get some of the links so only got 6/10. Trying too hard to be clever maybe?

Not bad. Duplicated answers would normally be unfair, but as each pair belong to the same group it was OK.

Are doubles against the rules then? As long as you can put either one in either of the groups it belongs in why does it matter?

Where are generally agreed rules online plz? some will expect perfect grids everytime from all people. nitpicking comes a load easier than enjoying & praising effort smtimes based on some messages on here
