I don't think you can actually say that William the Conqueror died in battle. He was grossly overweight and injured himself when he was thrown against the pommel when he was attempting to capture the French town of Mantes. His internal organs ruptured. He returned to Rouen and died six weeks later.

I suspect there are a few "north of the border" who might not like to see Macbeth described as an Engligh king

Sorry, but Macbeth was a fictional Scottish King, and James III was also Scottish! Venus and Adonis was a poem, not a play.
Good try, but a little more fact checking needed

All facts from google - perhaps slightly off! Obviously British meant, not english. Apologies - I admit it was slightly rushed. How can you delete grids! ;)

Macbeth was a real king but of Scotland and was the inspiration for Shakespeare's play. He died in battle at Lumphanan in 1057. William the Conqueror died 5 weeks after the Battle of Mantes in 1087. More importantly, a megalopolis comes about when existing cities merge; a settlement develops on previously uninhabited land. Therefore a megalopolis cannot be a type of settlement (only kidding!)
