A unique test and I absolutely loved it. No crossovers, of course, but the challenge here is to identify what the components are referring to. Peruvian Ursine Emigre indeed!! That was the first one I got and then I realised the theme of the puzzle. Great grid, thank you.

@HJBG - Clare Kent is the little known 2nd cousin of Clark. She's shy and avoids the limelight. ;-) @RC - glad you enjoyed it though credit where it's due, inspired by Blues.
